Cash's of Coventry Woven Picture of Bullfinches

A beautiful, woven picture of a pair of bullfinches in a frame. This vintage woven picture is part of the Cash’s Collector Range from the 1970’s.

J.& J. Cash limited or Cash’s was founded in 1846 and made woven and embroidered products since the 1870’s. They are very well known for founding the Cash’s name tape manufacturers after the war. They produced a series of collectible embroidered birds in the 1970’s.

The picture of the two bullfinches is embroidered with silk threads in beautiful natural colours. The birds are perched on a branch with pink blossoms. It is in it’s original frame with the makers mark on the back. It has a brass hook on the back and is ready to hang. This piece is in very good condition.
