Mid Century Print 'The Fish That Built a Nest' by Eileen Soper
A fabulous, colourful large print of an illustration by Eileen Soper. The print, entitled 'The Fish That Built a Nest' is one of a series of educational pictures produced in the 1950s.
Eileen Soper was an illustrator of Children's books and was commissioned to illustrate Enid Blyton's books of children's stories and Nature Readers. 'The Fish That Built a Nest' is an illustration from Blyton's book of the same name. This wonderful illustration, originally made in watercolour is set underwater in beautiful blues and greens. It features two fish, one of whom has built a nest. There is even a cute frog in the top left hand corner. The drawing and colour work is so bright and cheerful, making this a lovely picture to display. The print is in very good condition with just some pin holes and a little curling on the corners. It would look wonderful in a frame. Please look at all the photos carefully to ensure you are happy with the vintage condition.
This charming picture would make a great addition to a collection or a gift for a collector. This one is a personal favourite of ours. Its bright colours and cheerful subject make it so appealing. It would look fantastic in a child's bedroom or nursery or on display anywhere in your home. The print is unframed and will be packed flat for shipping.
