A pretty, antique small milk jug from Luneville France. Made in the late 19th century, this charming jug is decorated with blue and pink flowers.
The earthenware jug with its creamy white glaze is decorated with pink and blue cornflowers in the Bleuet design. Jug is molded with a relief design to resemble a wooden barrel and is finished with a chinoiserie style handle. The pattern is transfer printed with some hand painted detail. The base of the jug is stamped with the makers mark and pattern name. The jug is in great condition. Please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.
The jug measures 11cm high.
This beautiful example of antique faience pottery is so decorative. It would look lovely displayed on a shelf or windowsill, perhaps with some spring flowers. it would also make a pretty addition to a teatime table setting.
