Pair of Lotus Pottery Egg Cups

An unusual and collectible piece of mid-century Devon pottery. This lovely pair of egg cups have an attached saucer and are finished in a dark green glaze with surface decoration. 

The egg cups were made by Lotus Pottery in Stoke Gabriel, Devon in the 1970s. Owned by Michael and Elizabeth Skipworth, the pottery was noted for its particular style and colour of glaze. Our two examples are in their signature deep green glaze and decorated with a frothy white design of hearts on one egg cup and leaf shapes on the other. Each egg cup bears the makers mark on the base. Both are in excellent condition but please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.

The egg cups measure around 7.5cm high. The diameter of the saucer is approximately 8.5cm.

The unique style of Lotus pottery makes it very collectible. The eggs cup would be lovely in use or on display and would compliment any decorative style.
