An iconic string puppet made by Pelham Puppets in the 1960s. The puppet is in excellent condition original and in its original branded box.

Pelham puppets were in production from the 1950s through to the 1980 with various changes in styles, range of characters and packaging over the years. This 'Gypsy' character has a charming hand painted face and brightly coloured costume. She is in full working order. Her head seems to tilt slightly to the right, which could be corrected with an adjustment to the string, however this doesn't affect her appearance.

Pelham puppets are great to collect. They're fun to use and very decorative on display. Real classics of British toy-making history.
