Vintage Leather Camel
A quirky and characterful camel figurine, beautifully made from leather. Probably made as a tourist piece, the camel stands with his head raised high and would make a charming decorative feature.
The camel appears to be made from lacquered leather or possibly parchment laid over a wooden form. The covering has been tooled to create creases imitating the camel's skin. The bridle and reins are made from imitation leather. One half of the reins is missing. The camel is so nicely modelled with lifelike eyes and leather ears and his face is full of character. He is in great vintage condition. Please see all the photos to ensure you are happy with the condition. The camel stands 16 cm at his highest point.
This charming model looks fabulous on display and would make a lovely and unusual decoration at Christmas. A really unusual collector's piece that would be quite a talking point!
