Fitz and Floyd Tulip Swan Pitcher

This striking ceramic jug or pitcher is beautifully formed in the shape of a swan, standing amongst tulips. The swan's wings, forming the spout, are softly coloured pink.

Fitz and Floyd are an American manufacturer of decorative ceramics. This fabulous swan jug dates from 1995. The jug is cleverly designed so that the swan's bent neck forms the handle, while the spout is created by the its folded wings. Made in a majolica style with moulded, brightly coloured decoration, this is an eye-catching decorative piece. The jug does not bear the makers mark. However this is likely because Fitz and Floyd used paper labels which wear off over time. The jug is in fabulous condition, with just a little crazing inside the base. Please check all the photos so that you are aware of the condition.

The jug measures 23cm high to the top of the swan's neck. It is 20cm wide from handle to spout.

The jug can be used at the table or makes a great vase - why not fill it with tulips in the spring! Whether in use or not it is such an elegant and appealing decorative piece and would look great on display anywhere in your home.
