A beautiful antique French Baptism, Communion and Confirmation Certificate from the 1930’s.* This black and white lithograph print is framed under glass with an elaborate wood frame.
The print depicts Jesus giving communion, baptising and bringing down the Holy Spirit . Underneath is written “Marie Blanche Ducroux” and the dates of her baptism, communion and confirmation in French. There is also a signature, perhaps of the priest. These certificates were given to French children and were then framed and treasured for years.
This lovely framed piece is in good condition considering its age. The print itself does have water damage and browning all around the edges. The print itself in the centre remains untouched and is perfectly clear. The frame is the highlight of this piece. Decorated in gold and jewel like colours. The print is ready to hang. Please check photos carefully to ensure that you are happy with the condition.
Such a lovely piece to add to a gallery wall or to compliment other art in your home. A fabulous piece of religious decor. A real talking point.
*this item is nearly 100 years old. There is age related wear. Please check photos!
