Original Framed Oil Painting

A beautiful framed still life painting in oil on paper. The painting depicts a bowl of fruit with flowers and a silver gourd. The painting is signed and dated by the artist.

This finely painted picture shows a still life on a table set against a white tablecloth and dark background. In the foreground is a silver 'yerba mate', a traditional Spanish colonial cup used for a a type of herbal tea. The artist's brushwork is clearly visible, showing the sensitive treatment of colour and tone in the subject. The artist's signature and date (2004) appears at the bottom right corner. The picture is framed with a slim white and gold frame. The painting is in good condition. There are some minor scuffs and a little cracking to the paint surface in places.
