A charming cast iron doorstop in the shape of a sheep and dating from the 19th to early 20th century. This rare animal doorstop has its original paint finish and looks so decorative.
The sheep measures 23cm wide across the base and about 18cm high to the top of her head. She has a white fleece and stands on a modelled green base. Her face and feet are brown and her eye is painted in giving her face some life and character. The doorstop is in wonderful antique condition. There are a few rust spots flecking the white paint and a bit of rusting on the front edge of the base.
The sheep is in great shape and will have many more lifetimes holding doors open! She is so decorative and would look really charming in use. She is also a great collectors piece that would add a bit of country charm to your home.
