Vintage Chinese Parasol

A very pretty vintage Chinese parasol decorated with golden carp. The parasol has a beautiful carved hardwood handle and is in lovely original condition.

The parasol is made from wood, bamboo and paper with a printed pattern of goldfish. It is in very good condition with no notable wear or damage. There are two splits in the handle due to age, but this in no way affects use. Please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.

The parasol measures 61cm long when folded and around 80cm diameter when open.

The striking pattern and colours make the parasol such a beautiful decorative piece. And the complex wooden structure of the ribs with prettily woven threads makes it just as pleasing to look at from underneath.

Please not that whilst the parasol is skilfully made, it is a vintage piece with some delicate materials and care should be taken in use.
