Vintage Industrial Wooden Spool

A vintage wooden spool or bobbin from a textile mill. Dating from the early 20th century, this attractive industrial relic makes an unusual decorative piece.

We have spools two available at the time of listing which are priced individually.

The wooden spool, which would have been used in a large industrial loom, has a fabulous patina from years of work. The end of the spool retain traces of paint which would have indicated the type or thickness of a yarn. The spool is in vintage condition as would be expected with age and origins. Please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.

The spool measures 21cm long and 10cm wide across each end.

These appealing pieces of industrial salvage look great displayed with similar spools as a rustic decorative feature. They can also be used to store string, wool or ribbon or could be adapted for use as a candle holder.
