A beautiful, traditional Japanese Kokeshi doll. Hand crafted in solid hardwood, the doll is prettily hand painted with a stylised floral motif.

In the Togatta style, the simple colouring and design possibly indicates an early example of these highly desirable decorative figures. The doll is signed by the artist on the base. She is in good vintage condition. There is some wear and fading to the paint on the body and top of the head. Please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.

This medium sized figure stands 24cm high. A fabulous piece for display on its own or as an addition to a collection.
