A fabulous framed needlepoint panel with and ornate Rococo design of a bird within an ornate border. The panel is woven in muted blues, greens and pinks. The panel dates from the early to mid 20th century.

This substantial decorative woven panel shows fine quality stitching, particularly in the central bird motif which is made with a different, finer stitching technique. The panel may originally have been made as a chair covering and has now been framed for display. The slim mahogany frame perfectly compliments the needlepoint, which is also backed with a wooden panel and protected under glass. The panel is ready to hang. This gorgeous piece is in excellent condition and the colours retain their soft hues. The frame has scuffs all over but this does not detract from its decorative appeal. Please look at all the photos to ensure you are aware of the condition.

The tapestry measures 52 cm square including the frame.

This unusual piece would make a fabulous decorative addition to any room, its soft colours complimenting different interior schemes. The perfect piece to add a bit of grandeur to your home!
